Use of the Halal Brand Procedure
UIC Halal Certification Mark Usage Guidelines
This procedure establishes the rules and guidelines for the proper use of the UIC Halal Certification Mark. All certified clients must comply with these requirements to maintain their certification status.

4. Procedure
This procedure refers to the UIC Halal Certification Mark. The characteristics, such as colors, fonts, sizes, etc., are described in procedure P_08_03 Description of the Halal Certification Mark of the UIC.
UIC Responsibilities and Control
In the certification agreement (R_05_02) between the UIC and each of its clients, it is explicit that the use of licenses, certificates, conformity marks and any other mechanism that indicates that a product is certified is controlled by the UIC.
The UIC exercises control over the ownership, use and display of licenses, certificates, conformity marks and any other mechanism that indicates that a product is certified.
In the event of any incorrect reference to the certification scheme, or misleading use of licenses, certificates, conformity marks or any other mechanism to indicate that a product is certified, found in documentation or other advertising, the UIC will determine the actions to be taken, which may include temporary or permanent suspension of the certification, in addition to the corresponding legal actions.
The UIC provides the Client with the appropriate logo to use.
The UIC reserves the right to replace the UIC Halal Certification Mark with another mark at any time.
The design and text of the mark provided may vary, however these rules continue to apply in accordance with the certification contract.
Client Responsibilities and Commitments
The client will only use the Halal Certification Mark in the manner established in this document and in the Certificate.
The client will only use the Halal Certification Mark in relation to activities included in the scope of the certification.
The use by the client of the Halal Certification Mark by any means of communication will be in such a way that confusion is not created between the matters indicated in the scope of the certification and other matters, and in no way imply coverage of activities outside the scope of the certification.
The client will not use the Halal Certification Mark on test reports, or on certificates of conformity such as calibration certificates or certificates of analysis.
The client will not use the Halal Certification Mark on its products or on their primary packaging to avoid confusion with the product certification.

- Promotional products (diaries, mugs, coasters, doormats, etc.)
Website Use
- The client can use the Halal Certification Mark on its website
- Must be obtained through the UIC Certified Client Portal
- Must be installed with a link provided by UIC to the validity of the certificate
Additional Client Commitments
The client, during the validity period of the Halal Certificate or thereafter, will not register, nor attempt to register, the Halal Certification Mark, or any imitation thereof; nor will it make or manifest any declaration of ownership of the Halal Certification Mark, and will not dispute the right of UIC, its successors or assigns, to authorize the use of the Halal Certification Mark in accordance with this document.
The client under suspension, withdrawal or cancellation of the Halal Certificate will immediately cease the use of the Halal Certification Mark and any reference to its certified status and the Accreditation Mark, and will not subsequently use any copy or imitation thereof.
The client, in the case of acquisition or merger, requires written permission from the UIC to transfer the right to use the Halal Certification Mark.
Important Notes
The use of the Halal Certification Mark does not exonerate the Client from any responsibility imposed by legislation related to the provision of its services, or with the behavior, design, manufacturing, shipping, sale or distribution of its products.
During the period of validity of the Halal Certification Mark, the UIC may carry out, or commission others to carry out, all checks considered necessary using the methods and frequencies indicated in the application standards according to the corresponding certification schemes.
In case of inappropriate use of the Halal Certification Mark, the UIC may immediately suspend or withdraw the Halal certification and the right to use the Halal Certification Mark.
The Customer may renounce or suspend the use of the Halal Certification Mark for a certain period of time. You will notify the UIC in writing and make all corresponding changes in the appropriate means of communication. Based on this information, the UIC will communicate to the Client the terms and conditions for the temporary or permanent termination of the use of the Halal Certification Mark.
Legal and Financial Conditions
The financial conditions to authorize the use of the Halal Certification Mark are included in the contractual documentation between the UIC and the Client.
Unless otherwise agreed with UIC, Client will maintain the confidentiality of all the documents received from the UIC with the exception of the Certificate, and the Halal Certification Mark in accordance with this procedure.
The UIC abides by all applicable national and international laws, regulations and standards related to the right to use the Halal Certification Mark and the conditions for obtaining such right. It will notify the Client of all changes thereto, and the Client will be obliged to apply all modifications resulting from such changes.
The UIC reserves the right to modify this procedure at any time. It will give the Client written notice of all changes to this procedure, and the Client will be obligated to implement such changes.
